Nanosonics (ASX:NAN) has commenced the controlled market release of its CORIS endoscope cleaning system, with the first unit now operational at a hospital in the UK, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

The system has received UK certification and UK Conformity Assessed marking, per the filing.

The company plans additional installations in Australia and Ireland, while US deployment will start after obtaining regulatory clearance for expanded indications and reviewing early insights from the UK and Australian sites, the filing added.

The company's shares fell around 2% in recent Friday trade.
