Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Edge Higher in Friday Trading

Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were modestly higher Friday morning, rising 0.16% to 2,960.56 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index, which was off 0.43% for the week

From North Asia, the gainers were led by thin-film liquid display maker LG Display (LPL) and computer hardware maker Canaan (CAN), which advanced 7% and 5.7% respectively. They were followed by online video service iQIYI (IQ) and semiconductor company Silicon Motion Technology (SIMO), which increased 4.5% and 2.6% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by brand platform 36Kr (KRKR) and mobile big data platform Aurora Mobile (JG), which fell 9.3% and 5.2% respectively. They were followed by diagnostic imaging centers company Concord Medical Services (CCM) and game live-streaming service HUYA (HUYA), which were down 4.8% and 3.8% respectively.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by IT firm Infosys (INFY) and lender ICICI Bank (IBN), which rose 1.8% and 1.2% I respectively. They were followed by IT firm Wipro (WIT) and tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which were up 0.9% and 0.8% respectively.

The lone decliner from South Asia were led by telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which was off 0.2%
