EDU Holdings's (ASX:EDU) total student enrolments for term one of the year in its vocational education and training business and higher education business reached 6,627, up 36% from 4,887 last year, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

New student enrolments for the term came in at 1,163, up from 1,108 the previous year, the filing said.

Shares of the company fell 2% in recent Tuesday trade.
