Malaysian Stocks Snap Winning Streak on Profit Taking

Malaysian stocks snapped gains of the previous session to end in the red on Tuesday because of profit-taking activities. The investors could not find positive cues amid uncertainty over possible US tariffs.

The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI shed 3.97 points to end 0.2% lower at 1,754.01. The day range was between 1,746.9 and 1,756.

In economic news, the international reserves of Bank Negara Malaysia stood at $127.9 billion as at Feb. 13. The reserves position is sufficient to finance 4.7 months of imports of goods and services, and is 0.9 times the total short-term external debt, the central bank said.

In corporate news, shares of Petronas Dagangan (KLSE:PETDAG) gained 2% on Tuesday's close after its profit attributable to owners rose to 258.9 million ringgit in the fourth quarter of 2025, from 249.1 million ringgit a year earlier.

MISC (KLSE:MISC) incurred a loss attributable to shareholders of 11.8 million ringgit in the fourth quarter of 2025, down from 446.2 million ringgit a year earlier. Shares were marginally lower on today's close.
