Ribbon Communications (RBBN) said Wednesday it is partnering with Amazon's (AMZN) Amazon Web Services to develop a cloud-based voice communications service that will be available on AWS marketplace.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The company said its session border controller, routing engine and centralized management tools have been optimized for AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service to support telecom and enterprise customers migrating to cloud infrastructure.

Ribbon said the collaboration includes joint development and customer engagement efforts.

Shares of Ribbon were up 8.2% in recent Wednesday premarket activity, while Amazon was 0.6% higher.
