Riversgold (ASX:RGL) increased its tenement holding in the Kalgoorlie East area, near its Kalgoorlie gold project in Western Australia, with the initial 800 square-meter Northern Zone tenement jumping by 820% to 6.75 square-kilometers, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The conversion of the Northern Zone tenement to a mining lease is well advanced, and the firm signed a right to mine and cooperation agreement with MEGA Resources for it, per the filing.
Riversgold lodged applications for the P25/2888, P25/2890, P25/2891, and P25/2892 tenements.
Its shares rose 12% in recent trading on Thursday.
