Australia's total credit rose 0.5% month on month in January, following a 0.8% increase in December 2025, data from the Reserve Bank of Australia showed Friday.
Housing credit edged up 0.6%, following a 0.7% increase in the previous month, while personal credit rose 0.2%, following a 0.5% increase.
Business credit rose 0.5%, following a 1% growth in December 2025.
Broad money inched 0.6% higher in January, up from a 0.5% rise in the previous month.
Total credit jumped 7.7% in the year ended January, compared with the 6.5% increase in the year ended January 2025.
