J.M. Smucker (SJM) reported fiscal Q3 adjusted earnings Thursday of $2.38 per diluted share, down from $2.61 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.27.
Net sales for the quarter ended Jan. 31 were $2.34 billion, up from $2.19 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $2.32 billion.
For fiscal 2026, the company said it continues to expect adjusted EPS of $8.75 to $9.25. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $8.99.
Net sales for the current fiscal year are now expected to be between 3.5% and 4%, compared with its prior outlook of 3.5% to 4.5%, the company said.
Shares of the company were up nearly 8% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
