China Carbon Neutral Development's (HKG:1372) substantial shareholder, Sha Tao, acquired an additional 535,000 ordinary shares in the company, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.

The shares were purchased from the open market at HK$1.17 apiece and represent around 0.08% of the energy services provider's issued share capital.

As a result, Sha now holds 161.6 million shares, equivalent to a 23.94% stake, in the company.
