Firebird Metals (ASX:FRB) secured an exclusive patent license agreement from its wholly-owned unit, Hunan Firebird Battery Technology, covering five patents relating to modified lithium iron manganese phosphate cathode active materials and precursor cathode active materials technologies filed and registered in China, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The agreement was formally recorded and approved by the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the representative office of the Ministry of Commerce. The license is granted on an exclusive basis to Firebird until May 21, 2045, and is gratuitous.
Its shares fell 1% in recent trading on Thursday.
