Virgin Australia (ASX:VGN) reported Friday fiscal first-half underlying earnings of AU$0.351 per share, up from AU$0.316 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by FactSet expected earnings of AU$0.34.
Revenue for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2025, was AU$3.32 billion, compared with AU$3.04 billion a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected AU$3.27 billion.
The company expects strong air travel demand, plans to add 2% to 3% domestic capacity in the second half of fiscal 2026 and 3% in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, and forecasts fiscal 2026 capital expenditure of around AU$850 million to AU$950 million.
