Portugal's EDP reported a jump in 2025 net profit, aided by higher earnings from its renewables arm and a recovery of its wind and solar businesses.
The energy company said it made a full-year net profit of 1.15 billion euros ($1.36 billion), up 44% compared with 2024. The company said the increase reflected a bigger contribution from separately listed EDP Renovaveis.
Revenue rose 4% to 15.61 billion euros.
The company said recurring earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization rose 1% to 5.03 billion euros.
Analysts had expected revenue at 15.81 billion euros and Ebitda at 4.91 billion euros, according to consensus estimates compiled by Visible Alpha.
The company reiterated guidance for 2026 Ebitda of between 4.9 billion and 5 billion euros.
The guidance reiteration looks conservative, with Portuguese hydro reservoirs being almost full, analysts at RBC Capital Markets said.
