GPT Infraprojects (NSE:GPTINFRA, BOM:533761) has acquired a 100% stake in Alcon Builders and Engineers for 1.52 billion Indian rupees, according to a Friday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

The company acquired 2.8 million equity shares of 10 rupees each of Alcon Builders, which is a signaling engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor, providing signaling, telecommunication, and allied works for Indian Railways.

With this, Alcon Builders has become a wholly owned subsidiary of GPT Infraprojects.
