Tech stocks were higher late Tuesday afternoon, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) rising 1.2% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) adding 2%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index climbed 1.6%.

In corporate news, Apple (AAPL) shareholders voted to approve the latest pay packages for the company's executives and to reject an outside proposal calling for an audit of the tech giant's China operations, Bloomberg reported, citing preliminary tallies. Apple shares were up 2.2%.
