1031 ET - On Holding says it is benefiting from a broader societal shift toward health, longevity and active lifestyles. Co-Founder David Allemann says on a call with analysts that consumers are moving away from a traditional leisure class, toward what he calls a movement class. "Old signifiers of wealth, sedentary comforts and overconsumption are being replaced by a desire for vitality," he says. "Longevity is the ultimate luxury." Allemann argues that this trend is structurally favorable to premium, innovation-led brands positioned around identity rather than utility, such as On. On Holding slides 13% after its annual outlook underwhelms investors. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
