Maronan Metals (ASX:MMA) secured mineral development license number 2028 for its Maronan silver project in Queensland, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The license, which covers the Maronan deposit and proposed mine infrastructure, allows for the excavation of a box-cut and development of a decline to facilitate drill-out of the Starter Zone resource, the filing said.
The company will continue to advance the project with the next steps, including finalizing the updated landholder compensation agreement and conducting additional infill surface drilling, per the filing.
Shares rose 3% in morning trade on Tuesday.
