Netflix (NFLX) said Thursday it has acquired InterPositive, a company founded by actor Ben Affleck that develops artificial intelligence-powered tools built by and for filmmakers.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

InterPositive should serve storytellers and the creative process, keeping filmmakers at the center of the process, Netflix said.

InterPositive's entire team will join Netflix, with Affleck joining as a senior advisor, the company said.
