Capital could exit the Middle East and enter Singapore or Hong Kong in a flight-to-safety move, he says in an email. All three Singapore banks have exposure in both cities and could see a boost in wealth-management fee income, the analyst adds. Wealth-management fee income has become a key source of earnings for DBS Group, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp. and United Overseas Bank as declining interest rates weigh on interest income.
