Unico Silver (ASX:USL) said it found high-grade silver mineralization during a recent drilling at its Joaquin Project's Breccia Puntudo prospect, among two other prospects, in Argentina, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The company said results included 28 meters at 284 grams per tonne silver equivalent from 61 meters, including 13 meters at 513g/t silver equivalent from 67 meters.
The company said that results confirm shallow oxide mineralization at Breccia Puntudo and demonstrate that mineralization at La Negra SE remains open to the southeast and at depth, supporting the upcoming mineral resource estimate currently being finalised as part of the Joaquin pre-feasibility study.
Two drill rigs are currently operating at Breccia Puntudo, focusing on extensional drilling and regional exploration, targeting both resource expansion and discoveries along this emerging corridor, the filing added.
Given the receipt of outstanding drill hole assays for infill holes at La Negra SE and Breccia Puntudo, the mineral resource estimate supporting the pre-feasibility study is due shortly, the filing added.
