Island Pharmaceuticals (ASX:ILA) began a strategic research collaboration with Burnet Institute in Australia to evaluate the potential application of Island's drug candidates, ISLA-101 and Galidesivir, against targets including measles, chikungunya, and Ross River viruses, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
Burnet will assess in vitro and translational studies of the antiviral activity of ISLA-101 and Galidesivir against selected viral pathogens.
Its shares rose 1% in recent trading on Monday.
