** Shares of some companies rise premarket as they are set to be added to the S&P 500 .SPX

** Telecommunications services firm EchoStar SATS.O rises 1.4%, while data center equipment maker Vertiv Holdings VRT.N gains 3.4%

** Photonics product makers: Lumentum Holdings LITE.O up 2.2%, Coherent COHR.N lower marginally after rising as much as 3.2% early in premarket

** All of them are set to join the S&P 500 before the market opens on March 23

** Up to last close SATS down 2.3% YTD, VRT up nearly 50%, LITE up 51.5% and COHR up 27.7%
