Standard Lithium (SLI) and Equinor (EQNR) joint venture Smackover Lithium said Monday it has signed its first commercial offtake 10-year deal to provide Trafigura Trading with 8,000 metric tons of battery-quality lithium carbonate annually for the South West Arkansas project.

Financial terms weren't disclosed.

The JV intends to announce additional customer offtake deals as they are finalized, Smackover Lithium said.
