Seatrium's Share Buyback Resumption Signals Execution Confidence -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
03/11

0727 GMT - Seatrium resuming its share buyback program in March could signal confidence in its order book execution, says Citi analyst Luis Hilado, noting the company hasn't bought back shares for nearly a year. The recent transactions come at higher levels than prior buyback periods, which could also suggest the offshore and marine company is confident of future order-win prospectus. The company's current program can still buy up to 67.56 million shares, and the analyst expects the buyback plan to be renewed at the next annual general meeting. Citi maintains a buy rating on the stock and a S$2.70 target price. Shares gain 3.0% to S$2.38.(megan.cheah@wsj.com)
