Malakoff (KLSE:MALAKOF) unit Prai Power signed a four-year power purchase deal with Tenaga Nasional (KLSE:TENAGA) to extend operations of the Prai Power Plant from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2030, according to a Monday Malaysian bourse filing.
Shares gained over 1% in Tuesday's midday trade.
The extension follows the plant's original 21-year agreement, which expired on June 19, 2024, and a subsequent one-year short-term deal with Tenaga Nasional that ended on Aug. 31, 2025.
The agreement governs the rights and obligations of both parties for electricity generation and the supply of generating capacity to Tenaga Nasional, it added.
