Collins Foods (ASX:CKF) agreed to pay up to AU$9 million to settle an employee class action lawsuit related to 10-minute rest breaks that started in December 2023, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company, which operates KFC and Taco Bell restaurants, said the multi-party settlement amount may increase or decrease depending on the number of employees who participate in the class action.
The settlement with a cap-and-collar structure is subject to approval by the Federal Court of Australia.
