March 12 (Reuters) - Wall Street's major indexes fell 1% on Thursday, with financial stocks taking a blow, as a surge in oil prices toward $100 a barrel rekindled inflation fears and investors kept a close watch on mounting jitters in the private credit sector. .N

At 1130 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 1.38% at 46,764.08. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 1.24% at 6,692.11, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 1.61% at 22,349.55.
