** Canada is set to invest $1.4 billion in new domestic facilities to boost ammunition production, part of the government's Defence Industry Resilience program, with funding going to Ontario-based IMT Precision and General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems–Canada, a subsidiary of a U.S. defence firm.

** Australia's BHP Group BHP.AX said late on Tuesday its Canadian chief executive, Mike Henry, will step down this summer after more than six years in the role and be succeeded by Brandon Craig, head of the mining giant's Americas division.

** Canada's federal government on Tuesday asked the Supreme Court of Canada to hear its appeal defending the former Trudeau administration's 2022 use of the Emergencies Act to end convoy protests in Ottawa, after lower courts ruled the move was not legally justified.

** Melewka Homes Ltd and Melewka Construction Management Services Ltd, two companies involved in building publicly funded addiction recovery centres in Alberta, are locked in a legal dispute involving allegations of forgery, threats and intimidation, according to court filings.
