Air New Zealand (NZE:AIR, ASX:AIZ) cancelled four return flights to Samoa for April and May due to rising fuel costs caused by the Middle East conflict, Radio New Zealand (RNZ) reported Tuesday.

The report said that the cancellations are a part of previously disclosed scheduled changes by the airline in early March.

The airline has said that the change is "minimal" and is adjusting its schedules to manage the impact of high jet fuel costs, RNZ said.

Air New Zealand previously announced the cancellation of roughly 1,100 flights between early March and early May, with the majority of affected passengers expected to be accommodated on alternative flights on the same day, the report added.
