NASA technology has shown promise in detecting scent signatures linked to several conditions. In addition, the agency awarded Simpli-Fi Automation a nonexclusive license to use NASA's scent technology for medical applications. And NASA has granted a partially exclusive license to Agscent USA to use the technology in agriculture. "The E-Nose Knows: AI Learns to Smell" at 2 p.m. on March 17 incorrectly said NASA's technology has shown promise in detecting stomach ulcers; the agency had granted an exclusive license to Simpli-Fi Automation; and an affiliated Agscent operation had been awarded an exclusive license.
