Woodside Energy Group (ASX:WDS) and Ampol (ASX:ALD) shares rose nearly 1% in recent trading on Monday, reaching a two-year peak and a one-year peak, respectively, after US President Donald Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum on Saturday evening to Iran to target its electricity grid over its closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran said it would strike the energy and water systems of its neighbours in the region in retaliation.
