Granite (GVA) said late Thursday it won the $495 million LRT- 4 Webb-Zapata project from the US Customs and Border Protection.
The project involves 27 miles of tactical infrastructure improvements near Laredo, Texas, including mass excavation, roads, and fencing, according to a statement.
Under the agreement, the company will build bridges, culvert crossings, paved concrete low-water crossings, and set up 27 miles of electrical, lighting, cameras, and fiberoptics, the company said.
Project work is expected to begin next month and conclude by July 2027, according to the company.
