Andean Silver's (ASX:ASL) infill drilling at its Cerro Bayo silver and gold project in Chile has shown "strong continuity" of mineralization, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

Drilling results at the Appaloosa Breccia vein system include 68.3 meters at 65 grams per tonne (g/t) weight-averaged silver-equivalent (AgEq) grade, and 33.2 meters at 75 g/t AgEq.

Drilling results at the Temer Vein complex include 11.4 meters at 144 g/t AgEq, 5.4 meters at 175 g/t AgEq, and 2.2 meters at 261 g/t AgEq, per the filing.

Meanwhile, infill drilling results at the Coyita Nth vein include 1.7 meters at 930 g/t AgEq, 5.5 meters at 207 g/t AgEq, and 2.1 meters at 317 g/t AgEq.

The company said an updated mineral resource estimate in the June quarter is expected to underpin restart studies, which will be completed alongside ongoing drilling, including programs to test new areas with "extensive" known mineralization.

Shares of the mineral explorer were down past 2% in recent Tuesday trade.
