Australian Vanadium (ASX:AVL) applied for support under the Western Australian government's Investment Attraction Fund to progress the design and construction of an initial large-scale unit using its V-NOMAD vanadium electrolyte production technology platform, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The company engaged engineering and resource firm Sedgman to assist with detailed engineering and execution readiness planning for the platform, which is currently under development, the filing said.
The company is targeting the planned Kalgoorlie Vanadium Battery Energy Storage System project as a potential initial deployment, per the filing.
Australian Vanadium shares fell 2% in morning trade on Tuesday.
