Novo Resources (ASX:NVO) plans to soon commence drill programs at its Wyloo and Balla Balla projects in the Pilbara region in Western Australia, with drilling to follow at the Cronus and Balla Balla gold prospects in the Karratha area in the second quarter, according to a Wednesday press release.

Sites have been prepared for a reverse circulation (RC) drill program to start in late April at the previously undrilled Wyloo Antimony Project, where an initial program of around 2,500 meters will test the polymetallic vein system, mineralized structures, and the potential for stratabound mineralization, the company said.

Drilling at Cronus will launch with five fences of roughly 2,000 meters of RC across the Titan Shear, testing interpreted fault offsets, kinks and splays between the Titan East Prospect to the southwest and the Weerianna deposit to the northeast, Novo said.

Follow-up drilling at Balla Balla is planned with 6,000 meters of aircore drilling to infill anomalies along the Scholl shear at the Babbage and Ramquarry Prospects.

The company added that it is planning drill activity to test the Teichman project in the Pilbara in the third quarter after obtaining the necessary approvals.
