Health care stocks were steady pre-bell Monday, with the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) unchanged and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) down 0.1%.

Neurocrine Biosciences (NBIX) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Soleno Therapeutics (SLNO) for $53 per share in cash, or a total of $2.9 billion, the companies said. Soleno Therapeutics stock was up more than 32% premarket.
