Mahindra Isuzu's (NSE:SMLMAH, BOM:505192) commercial vehicle sales rose to 2,393 units in March from 2,129 units sold a year ago, according to a Wednesday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.

Commercial vehicles production in March also grew to 1,652 units from 1,594 units a year earlier.

Exports in the reported month, however, fell sharply to 64 units from 186 units.

The company's shares were up nearly 6% in recent trade.
