HEICO (HEI, HEI.A) said Tuesday that its operating segment Flight Support Group has acquired an 80% stake in Sherwood Avionics and Accessories, a Florida-based company specializing in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul services of defense and commercial aviation platforms.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

HEICO anticipates the deal to be accretive to its earnings in the year following closing, the company said.

The remaining stock of Sherwood Avionics and Accessories will continue to be held by Sherwood's management team, HEICO added.

Shares of HEICO were down 1.8% in Tuesday premarket activity.
