American Rare Earths (ASX:ARR) awarded a whole-of-property development assessment to an engineering firm for its Halleck Creek project in Wyoming, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The assessment is a desktop study that will integrate current geological, metallurgical, mining, and permitting data across the company's Halleck Creek land package, the filing said.

Work is scheduled to start in the second quarter of the year, per the filing.

American Rare Earths shares rose 2% in midday trade on Tuesday.
