St George Mining (ASX:SGQ) said assays from ongoing diamond drilling at its Araxá rare earths and niobium project in Brazil returned the thickest mineralized interval at the project to date, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
It hit intercepts of 178.7 meters at 4.34% grade of total rare earth oxides and 0.75% grade of niobium pentoxide from the surface, as well as 165.3 meters at 4.28% grade of total rare earth oxides and 0.61% grade of niobium pentoxide from the surface.
The drilling campaign was designed to define and expand the mineral resource estimate.
