Metro Mining (ASX:MMI) said its Bauxite Hills Mine in Cape York, North Queensland, experienced about seven lost production days in March after a temporary suspension of operations due to Tropical Cyclone Narelle, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The Port of Skardon, which supports the Bauxite Hills Mine, was reopened on March 25, and barging recommenced at reduced capacity. Barging operations are expected to return to full capacity by mid-April.

Despite the impact of Cyclone Narelle, approximately 100,000 wet metric tonnes (WMT) were shipped from Bauxite Hills in March, per the filing.

The company said its shipment guidance for the year is 6.6 million WMT to 7.1 million WMT.
