Aspial Lifestyle (SGX:5UF) subsidiary, Maxi Cash (Malaysia), received acceptances to its offer from remaining shareholders for the acquisition of certain jewelry and pawnbroking companies in Malaysia, according to a Tuesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Shares of the retail brand were up over 3% in Wednesday trading.

Following the acceptances, the acquisition is expected to conclude by Aug. 5.

This comes after Maxi Cash had agreed to acquire all shares in Malaysian firms Ion World, Kedai Emas Ion, and Focus Resources for 152 million ringgit.

Ion World and Kedai Emas are in the business of pawnbroking and retailing of jewelry and branded merchandise, while Focus owns a property used for the target group's business.
