Stryker has determined the cyberattack that occurred earlier this year will impact its first-quarter results, but not its full-year financials.

The medical-technology company said Thursday it considered the scope and duration of the operational disruption, as well as the systems affected and the potential for customer or regulatory impacts when determining the impact.

Stryker experienced a global disruption to its Microsoft systems following a cyberattack in March, which resulted in the company asking 56,000 employees to disconnect from all networks and avoid turning on company devices.

The hackers behind the attack said they were retaliating on behalf of Iran as the conflict with the U.S. was escalating, The Wall Street Journal reported at the time.

Stryker said it has worked to contain and neutralize the impact of the attack and has returned to full operations. Its investigation remains ongoing, the company said.
