1306 ET - Levi Strauss & Co.'s latest quarterly print provides further evidence that consumers' interest in athleticwear is waning, and they're on the hunt for fresh alternatives, BNP Paribas analyst Laurent Vasilescu says in a note. Earlier this year, Vasilescu had called out a shift back toward dressing up following a multi-year athleisure cycle, which was likely extended by the Covid-19 pandemic. Levi's is among the companies that stand to win most from the trend, given denim has returned as a core wardrobe staple as consumers rotate away from leggings, he says. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
