Market Chatter: Life360 Layoffs Part of Plan to Reallocate Resources Towards AI Capabilities, RBC Says

The layoffs announced by Life360 (ASX:360) Chief Executive Lauren Antonoff in a social media post on Friday are a strategic shift aimed at reallocating resources toward artificial intelligence capabilities, according to a same-day report by the Australian Financial Review, citing RBC analyst Wei-Weng Chen.

The firm's management is positioning AI as a driver of faster execution, higher productivity, and broader product expansion beyond its core location-tracking services.

The cost benefits from the layoffs are unlikely to show up until the second quarter, while underlying user growth continues to be in line with expectations, the analyst said.

The firm had 547 full-time employees and 95 contractors as of 2025, the analyst noted.
