British American Tobacco (BTI) said Thursday it has appointed Dragos Constantinescu as chief financial officer and executive director, effective Sept. 1.

Javed Iqbal will continue to serve as interim CFO until Constantinescu's appointment, following which he will continue in his role as director of digital and information.

Constantinescu currently serves as CEO of Asahi Europe & International, and previously spent 16 years handling various finance and management operations within British American Tobacco.
