Aon (AON) said Wednesday it increased the capacity of its data center insurance offering by $1 billion to reach a $3.5 billion total while extending coverage to include established facilities.
The coverage, initially launched in June to mitigate construction and financial risks, now supports active digital infrastructure assets beyond their first year of operation, the company said.
The updated policy provides up to $3.5 billion for property damage and construction delays alongside $400 million in cyber protection and ransomware coverage, Aon said.
The company also said the increase includes up to $200 million for global third-party liability and $500 million for cargo and transport insurance backed by highly rated underwriters.
