Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appeared in Southern Lebanon on Sunday, where Israeli forces have established a "security zone" on Lebanese territory. Netanyahu said the fighting there against Iran-backed Hezbollah was continuing.

"The war continues, including in the security zone in Lebanon, where I was an hour ago," Netanyahu said in a video, surrounded by Israeli soldiers whose faces were covered with balaclavas. "There is more to do and we are doing it."

Massive Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon on Wednesday killed more than 300 people, according to the Lebanese health ministry. Netanyahu has come under pressure from the Trump Administration to scale back Israeli attacks and launch negotiations with Lebanon amid U.S. concerns that the fighting is threatening a fragile cease-fire between the U.S. and Iran. The intensity of Israeli airstrikes has appeared to decrease in recent days but hasn't stopped, with 35 people reported killed on Sunday, according to Lebanese authorities.
