Nokia to Benefit From Continued Hyperscaler Demand -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

1250 GMT - Nokia could raise guidance at its optical networks business as data-center spending continues to drive demand, Bank of America Securities analysts write. Following its former mobile phone dominance and transition to telecom equipment, Nokia is now transforming into an optical networks powerhouse with a European advantage, the bank says. "We believe Nokia has multiple levers as it rides growing momentum in the optical industry, a key bottleneck in the global AI data center buildout." Nokia's mobile infrastructure unit is set to improve margins via cost efficiencies and software focus with further upside potential from Huawei/ZTE replacement in Europe and its Nvidia partnership. BofA upgrades Nokia to buy from neutral and lifts its price objective to 10.70 euros from 6.87 euros. Shares rise 1.6% to 8.16 euros. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)
