Stocks to Watch: LVMH, JPMorgan, American Airlines -- WSJ

LMVH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton (FR:MC, LVMUY): The world's biggest luxury-goods company posted weak sales and said it was hit by the war in the Middle East. Shares fell in Paris.

BP (UK:BP, BP): The company expects an exceptional oil-trading result for the first quarter with the war lifting prices, but warned that higher volatility in energy markets could cloud its results. Shares slipped in London, in line with other energy stocks, as oil prices retreat.

Kering (FR:KER, PPRUY): The LMVH rival and Gucci owner reports earnings after the European close.

JPMorgan Chase $(JPM)$, Wells Fargo $(WFC)$, Citigroup $(CUL3)$, BlackRock $(BLK)$: The four financial institutions headline earnings before the opening bell.

United Airlines $(UAL)$, American Airlines $(AAL)$: United CEO Scott Kirby has floated a possible combination with American Airlines, Bloomberg reported. Shares in American Airlines jumped 4% premarket, while United shares rose in thin premarket trading.

Qantas Airways (AU:QAN): Australia's largest carrier said its near-term jet fuel bill would be up to 32% more than previously anticipated, as the Iran conflict hits profitability in global aviation. Shares retreated 0.3% in Sydney.
