RTX (RTX) won a $234.8 million US Air Force contract to transition the Extended Range variant of the Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile into full-rate production.
The award covers the engineering, tooling, testing and other work needed to prepare the missile for large-scale manufacturing, the Department of Defense said Wednesday in a notice. Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be completed by April 13, 2030.
The contract supports foreign military sales to Hungary, Kuwait, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway and Taiwan, the notice said.
